BRIGADA

In front of the concealed workspace, there is an experimental showroom - a testing ground for new design solutions and materials, as well as a space for collaboration between Brigada and the visiting creatives. The showroom is a showcase towards the public space of the Centar Kaptol, and the setup that periodically changes continually offers new content to our clients and visitors to the mall.  

A hidden door separates the showroom from the office area, and the sole hint of what is behind the door is a porthole through which one can catch a glimpse of the agency’s working ­­atmosphere.   The workspace is defined by a large glass wall that opens towards the terrace and the surrounding greenery, which thus become an integral part of the interior. In addition to the workstations, an essential element of the workspace is a large library with patterns, professional literature, and panels for mood boards and the elaboration of design processes.  

The linearly designed interior ends with a kitchen and a dining room that open onto the terrace, which acts as an alternative workspace, a summer dining room, and a garden where the agency’s employees grow organic vegetables and herbs.  

Designer furniture pieces include regional design classics such as Bernardo Bernardi’s and Niko Kralj’s armchairs, as well as Meblo luminaries from the 1970s. To provide these classics with a fitting ambiance, part of the showroom was transformed into an homage to that era and was fully designed in the spirit of the 1970s in Yugoslavia.
