In 2020, Mondi underwent a rebranding, positioning itself as a leader in the paper and plastic packaging industry. The new branding focused on sustainability, friendliness, and openness, all of which needed to be communicated in the new space.
As a result, two focal areas of the headquarters building in Vienna were reimagined. Firstly, the main lobby on the ground floor underwent a complete redesign in collaboration with Responsive Spaces and Startaparat. The aim was to redefine the entire space and enhance the visitor experience to align with the company's values and its new identity.
Secondly, the 17th-floor showroom space was transformed into a versatile area with three key focal points: the welcome desk, the primary product presentation area, and the lounge section. Award-winning Mondi products are showcased on dedicated pedestals in front of a large LED wall, providing partners and customers with an interactive presentation experience. A prominent feature is a sizable installation created from various Mondi materials, arranged in a vertical DNA-like sculpture. By incorporating green spaces and utilising recycled materials, we embodied the company’s commitment to sustainability, the circular economy, and waste reduction in the paper and packaging industry.
The showroom on the 17th floor is dominated by a high-resolution digital wall serving as both a brand image display and an interactive product portfolio showcase. This wall can also serve as a backdrop for video and photoshoots. Content on the wall is managed through a highly customised app designed exclusively for this project.
