Brigada in action: Psychiatric Hospital Ugljan

We helped create a more pleasant ambient at the Psychiatric Hospital Ugljan.

Prompted by the success and positive energy created by our 2016 Christmas intervention at Kantrida Children’s Hospital in Rijeka, this year we decided to give our best to create value for patients and staff at the Psychiatric Hospital on the island of Ugljan by renovating the institution’s common areas.

Our entire team was on Ugljan from 6 to 8 December and during two days of intense works we renovated the kitchen for therapeutic cooking courses, living room, gym, and dining room. We repainted the walls and painted murals, installed new flooring, delivered and set up new kitchen cabinets, and created a more pleasant environment by exhibiting works of art created by patients and furnishing the rooms with crafted greenery.

We have made an effort to come up with a Christmas present that will have long-lasting effects and we wholeheartedly believe that its result will improve the quality of life of these people so often forgotten by society.
