A JOURNEY THROUGH 60-YEAR-LONG VEGETA HISTORY
The first passenger train turned event restaurant in Croatia – A journey through 60-year-long Vegeta history
To mark the 60th Vegeta anniversary, we organised a “60-year-long journey”, a unique train journey from Zagreb to Koprivnica and back staging all historical phases of this iconic Croatian product.
We’ve brought our guests to revisit 1959, the year when Vegeta was first created in the Podravka factory. In cooperation with Brigada, for the first time ever in Croatia, an entire train turned into an event restaurant. On the way to Koprivnica, our guest could enjoy a celebratory menu, as well as a special entertainment programme which continued inside the old Vegeta factory in Koprivnica with a play that told the story about how Vegeta, thanks to scientist Zlata Bartl who created it, set out to conquer the world. This beautiful Croatian success story was complemented with a pleasant cabaret atmosphere enjoyed by many Podravka’s guests.
On the way back to Zagreb, the coaches transformed into party coaches, each one representing one decade, starting with the 1960s until present day. The atmosphere of each decade was brought to life with specific props, ambience and details that marked each decade and to tie it all up we played popular music from that time. Guest could stroll from one “decade” to another and enjoy different settings.
That’s how we turned a unique journey through six decades of Vegeta history into an unforgettable event.
